Preparing Your Cat For Boarding
What to Expect
At Cradle Cat Hotel, we do our best to ensure your furry family member’s comfort while staying with us. Every aspect from physical design to maintenance are thought through in the best interest of our guests. Cats are by nature creatures of habit and any change to their environment (e.g. not having their familiar humans around, changes in schedule, going to new environment, weather, noise etc.) may cause them stress. How each cat reacts to change varies in form and duration, every cat is an individual.
Some common physical reactions to expect are:
-
Hiding
-
Inappetence (may go up to 3-4 days)
-
Reluctance to use the litter box (may go up to 3-4 days)
-
Soft stools
-
Mild flu symptoms such as conjunctivitis, sneezing, coughing etc.
-
Urinary issues such as blood in urine
Do not worry too much if your cat experiences any of these reactions, it is normal and to be expected. Our experienced team is doing our best to make your cat comfortable, keeping a close watch on him/her and will keep you posted daily.
